With the National Book Expo fast approaching, the city of Baotou of Inner Mongolia autonomous region is gearing up as volunteers are put into position, exhibitors from across the country are entering the pavilion to set up booths, passions are heightening and expectations are running high.

A volunteer work launching ceremony for the expo was held on July 25 at the city's Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College，with two hundred volunteer representatives taking part and making final preparations for their booths.

Participants from about a dozen provinces including Zhejiang, Hebei, Yunnan, Hubei, Hunan, Gansu, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Qinghai as well as municipalities such as Chongqing and Shanghai have arrived in Baotou and are busy making decorations and preparations at the expo site.

The organizers say that a 1.8 kilometer "Book Walk" connecting the three halls and providing locations for ticket and inquiry services will be rolled out to welcome expo visitors and to ensure a special expo for them.
