The events include the speed race, long-distance race, horse industry forum, and Horqin snack festival.
The organizers invited jockeys from Britain, Australia, Mongolia, Russia and Thailand, and arranged a total prize fund of 2 million yuan ($300,000).
“Inner Mongolia has been a bellwether in the equine industry thanks to its natural resources and unique ethnic culture,” said Li Zhiyou, deputy president of Inner Mongolia Sports Bureau.
In recent days, Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner has promoted its equine industry through sports events and cultural activities to boost the local economy and tourism.
