Free reusable bags distributed to mark World Earth Day

Over 5,000 reusable bags were freely given out to local residents living in the Xincheng district of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on April 20. The drive was purposed with the reduction of plastic bag use and to raise awareness for environmental conservation in honor of this year’s World Earth Day on April 22.

The event, organized by the sub-district administrative office and the quality and technical supervision bureau of Xincheng district, also advocates the adoption of low-carbon living habits, especially for Hohhot youth.
