Traveling nationwide with a 'city pass'

The city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia joined a national city-pass project this past February to make travel more convenient for both locals and tourists, after the Transport Ministry made it one of the first members of its "city connectivity" project whose goal is to provide "one-card convenience for buses nationwide".

So far, the city has established connections with 41 cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Nanjing and Chongqing and has issued more than 5,000 of the "city pass" cards.
