The 2019 Changsha (Lianhua) Spring Festival Flower Fair and the Yuelu District Agricultural Product Introduction Fair opened in Lianhua town, Changsha, on Jan 27.

In addition to the two million pots of blooming flowers, people can also buy a variety of distinct agricultural products from Yuelu district.

The flower fair will run until Feb 19. It consists of six exhibition halls covering an area of 14,000 square meters.

Around 300 varieties and 1,000 sub-varieties of flower are on offer, with tulips, hippeastrum, daffodils, orchids, camellias, azaleas and succulent plants being particularly popular among residents.

Within three hours of opening, the fair had received 10,000 visitors and earned a total of 60,000 yuan ($8,954.82).

In recent years, Yuelu district has been optimizing its agricultural industrial structure and has created a distinctive modern urban agricultural system.
