Changsha county processes 7,833 travelers on first day of travel rush

Changsha county processed 7,833 passengers on Jan 21, the first day of the Spring Festival travel rush, according to the local department of transportation.
Sources say that 123 train cars were filled with 6,640 people and 68 buses carrying 1,193 passengers left the Xingsha Bus Station.
To ensure safety during the Spring Festival travel rush, which will end on March 1, a thorough security inspection of 11 public transit stations was carried out throughout the county. The inspection focused on leadership organization, allocation of duties, contingency plans and emergency arrangements.
In addition, ferries crossing the Sancha River and Taoshu Bay were examined by the Jiangbei town service center. Old fire extinguishers were replaced and new life-saving equipment will arrive soon with the help of the local marine office.

In recent years, the local government has sought to revive the region's long tradition in porcelain making and boost local industry with the cultural influence of ancient Tongguan kilns, which have a history of 1,200 years.
