An event on Hunan culture was held in Dusseldorf, Germany from Oct 29 to Nov 1, offering German audiences a spectacular cultural feast.

The event was sponsored by the Information Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government, Hunan Culture and Tourism Department, the Foreign Affairs Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government, Hunan Daily Newspaper, Hunan Radio and Television Station, Hunan Publishing Investment Holding Group, and Hunan Performing Arts Group.

The main activities included an opening ceremony, a Hunan cultural exhibition, a photo exhibition, a Hunan tourism promotion conference, a cross-border fusion stage play performance, and lectures on Kunqu, a kind of traditional Chinese opera.

The unique cultural displays gave German audiences a better understanding of the essence and charm of Hunan culture, featuring embroidery, porcelain, tea, films and television, books, sand and stone painting, hemp painting, cultural and creative products, Miao embroidery, acrobatics, folk music, calligraphy, and a photo exhibition.
