An inspection car runs on the track of Yichang-Wanzhou Railway on Nov 24, the last day of its one-week test run, before an assessment panel from the Ministry of Railways conducts an inspection of the whole line. The 377-kilometer railway, connecting Yichang of Central China’s Hubei province and Wanzhou of Southwest China’s Chongqing city, was under construction for eight years. Bridges and tunnels account for 74% of its length. As a result, the railway is considered the most difficult and time-consuming of such projects in China. [Photo/Xinhua]
