Currently, many kyanite deposits have been found in Nanyang, including deposits in the Hidden Mountain (Yinshan Mountain) in Wancheng district and deposits in Guxian town, Tongbai county.

Andalusite, found in Xixia county, in an area 7 kilometers long by 0.5-1.2 kilometers wide, is the only large andalusite deposit in China. The grade C + D reserves are about 4,493,200 tons.
