Liyade, produced by Nanyang Cigarette Factory, is the cigarette that has the biggest export volume and highest foreign exchange volume in Henan province. The factory, one of the top four cigarette factories was built in 1950.

In 2000, with the help of the China National Import and Export Corporation, the factory successfully obtained the manufacturing rights to Liyade cigarettes after three-years of negotiation with Libyan merchants. Through developing the recipes, improving the quality and strictly controlling the production technology, the factory finally satisfied its customers demanding requirements. Moreover, the annual order gradually increased from an initial 36,400 pieces to 50,000 pieces in 2002, earning foreign exchange of nearly $8 million , which made it into one of the enterprises with the biggest cigarette exporting volumes.

In 2002, this factory reached agreements with Korean merchants to export "Moxa Fragrant Stick" to Korea directly. The contract to supply 8,000 pieces in the first batch has basically been completed.
