Construction of the new Guian hospital – located in the Guian New Area, in Southwest China's Guizhou province – is reportedly advancing well and its first phase is expected to open its doors on July 1.
The hospital will be a third-class comprehensive public hospital, that will be operated by the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University.
Guian hospital's first stage covers an area of 374,700 square meters with 1,500 beds, 32 inpatient wards and 52 clinical medical technology departments.
The departments will cover the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University's four national-level major specialties, 12 provincial-level major specialties and 10 provincial-level major disciplines.
Guian hospital will also have four national-level standardized centers to train specialist physicians, as well as 16 authorized units offering doctorates and 18 authorized units offering master's degrees.
When established, it is expected that Guian hospital will be public beneficial medical center that serves the entire province.
