An expressway between Huaxi and Anshun in Southwest China's Guizhou province is being planned, according to officials from Guizhou Hua'an Expressway Construction Co.

After completion, the Huaxi-Anshun Expressway will start from Tongmuling village of Huaxi, passing Gui'an New Area and Changshun, and ending in Anshun.

The expressway, stretching 88.87 kilometers with six lanes, is designed for speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour.

The construction is expected to be complete by the end of 2016. By then, it will only take 40 minutes by car to travel from Huaxi to Anshun; currently the duration is at least 1 hour.
