Embroidery

Embroidery is an intangible cultural heritage that best illustrates Anshun's ethnic characteristics. Among Anshun's embroideries, Miao, Buyi and Tunpu embroideries are the most remarkable.

Embroidery, widely used by the Miao ethnic group in their daily lives, festival celebrations, marriages and funerals as well as religious rites, is of great practical and artistic values.

Tunpu people believe that more children bring more happiness, so they apply pomegranates, butterflies and fish to their own favorite things as these are symbols of fertility.
