Folk musical Ayiduo debuts in Anshun

Guizhou's first musical on local folk customs and landscape sceneries will meet the public on August 21 in Anshun's Huangguoshu Waterfall.

The show, which cost 2 million yuan ($325,100), is organized by Guizhou Wanxiang Tianhe Tourism and Entertainment Industry Development Co. A news conference was recently held to introduce the musical's highlights.

The show takes full advantage of the sceneries of Huangguoshu Waterfall. It integrates ancient cities, caveman relics and ethnic elements in Anshun, Guizhou province. The show reflects ancient customs and is very romantic.

The show will represent the Chuandong civilization, ancient Daming military outpost relics and Buyi village to great effect. Audiences can get a glimpse of Anshun's history over the past 1,000 years.

Ayiduo Theater, located in Anshun, features Asia's biggest mountaintop bronze drum multimedia system and the biggest domestic polyhedral revolving stage. The theater is equipped with cutting-edge digital lighting and stereo systems, as well as topnotch theatrical design. A total of 300 performers are involved in the musical. The musical is distinguished as it integrates art, culture and technology; breaks boundaries in art genre; and combines culture and technology. It will give the public an audio and visual feast.

Anshun tourism city will focus on leisure, entertainment and performing arts to extend the tourism industry chain to cover dining, lodging, shopping and travel as well as create a new tourism business model.
