Authorities in Hechi's Tian'e county focused on promoting high-quality economic development in 2020, achieving remarkable results in agriculture, industry and the modern service sector.

Tian'e established three county-level agricultural demonstration base zones, as well as two 10,000-mu (667-hectare) camellia industry demonstration centers last year. In addition, all areas of the county now have 5G coverage.

Moreover, 26 organic food farms covering 37,000 mu were recognized, and five family farms and five cooperatives were built. The area's local Longtan pearl plum brand was ranked second in Guangxi in terms of e-commerce sales for the fourth consecutive year.

The operation of Longtan hydropower station, as well as the upgrading of the calcium carbonate industry has helped lay the foundations for the county's high quality industrial development.

A series of projects involving hydropower, wind power, and camellia oil processing were pushed forward. The county became home to four new industrial enterprises above designated size.

In addition, Tian'e has accelerated the establishment of a tourism demonstration zone.

In 2020, the county's commercial and trade industries such as retail and hospitality enjoyed steady growth, with the local logistics industry growing rapidly.

Other industries such as real estate, finance and insurance also saw steady development in 2020.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
