Tian'e leads Hechi in fixed asset investment growth rate

Tian'e county in the city of Hechi launched 82 major projects last year, with its investment in fixed assets increasing by 57.1 percent year-on-year, the highest in Hechi.
Tian'e has always regarded the construction of major projects as the foundation of economic improvement and people's livelihoods. Last year, the county's fixed asset investment primarily focused on social benefits, with funding for areas such as transportation, water conservancy, education and health.
In terms of its transportation infrastructure, Tian'e completed its land expropriation work ahead of the construction of three highways, including the Nandan-Xialao expressway. The county also finished 93 road projects, including the Tian'e-Fengshan Highway, and opened them to traffic.
In terms of water conservancy facilities, Tian'e started drainage-related engineering projects and completed five river regulation works.
Tian'e county has added 3,150 mu (210 hectares) of urban and rural construction land, reserved 3,100 mu of cultivated land, and improved rural drinking water quality to ensure water safety for 12,000 people.
In addition, the county strived to improve its education, healthcare and cultural facilities, starting construction on 10 projects including the Tian'e High School student dormitory building. Nine projects including the Infectious Diseases Department of the People's Hospital of Tian'e County and seven village-level public service centers were launched.
