Hechi invests 2b yuan in information network in 2020

Hechi in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region delivered a total of 54 projects relating to the construction of its information network in 2020, with an investment of 2.13 billion yuan ($326 million), exceeding its target.
Hechi has focused on building government cloud platforms to provide an intensive and efficient network, as well as computing and storage support for the city's information infrastructure construction.
Governmental cloud platforms have to date provided cloud storage resources for 83 non-classified information systems of 51 departments.
A total of 227 industrial enterprises in Hechi have used this cloud computing technology. The output value of the electronic information industry in Hechi reached 323 million yuan in 2020, a 326 percent increase year-on-year.
Hechi has used a management information system for grassroots medical and health institutions in all of its 153 health centers, as well as implementing the use of electronic health cards in six municipal hospitals.
The city has made efforts to promote intelligent transportation, setting up a dynamic monitoring platform for transport vehicles, and residents can use the same QR code to get on all buses in the city.
Hechi has also focused on the construction of Bama Fund Digital Town and the construction of the China-ASEAN (Bama) Big Data Cloud Computing Base.
Meanwhile, the city will speed up the construction of its 5G and 4G networks, seeking to achieve full coverage of 5G signals in urban and town areas, as well as full coverage of 4G signals in 960 administrative villages.
