Hechi begins free COVID-19 vaccination campaign

Appointments for free COVID-19 vaccines have now been open to the public since March 25, according to an announcement from Hechi's disease prevention and control center.
Residents in Hechi aged between 18 and 59, including seniors aged over 60 that are in good physical condition, are entitled to receive a free COVID-19 vaccine injection after passing their health assessment.
Appointments can be made through the WeChat public accounts of the Health Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region at jkbg-gxhfpc or Guangxi's disease control body at gxcdcwx, or in person at medical institutions.
The city's disease control center reminds the public to pay attention to the following points:
1. Before making their appointment, participants should understand the basic information, inoculation process, and inoculation contraindication of the COVID-19 vaccine;
2. While making their appointment, participants need to fill in their basic personal information truthfully;
3. After their appointment, participants should go to the medical institution according to the appointment time;
4. For the second injection reservation, participants should try to select the same medical institution where they received the first injection, and the vaccine must be from the same manufacturer.
Hechi began providing COVID-19 vaccinations to staff members in key industries, such as customs, transportation, as well as medical and health service, since Dec12, 2020. It has now launched its second batch of vaccination work for college students, school faculty, as well as other people who need priority vaccinations.
A total of 280,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been given out as of March 24, among which 164,000 people have received the first dose and 116,300 people have received the second.
