Qibainong chicken, from Guangxi Huijun Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, was selected as the representative brand of Guangxi on March 13, and will be featured in a CCTV program named "Rising China".

"Rising China" is a live broadcast program hosted by the CCTV shopping channel. It aims to promote quality products and help enterprises increase their sales. A live broadcast lasting three hours is carried out twice a month and each product has a slot of around 10 to 20 minutes during the program to showcase itself.

Qibainong chicken is a specialty of Hechi's Dahua county. It is known for its chewy and springy meat as well as its rich nutrition. It was one of the three selected from all participants countrywide in 2020, which numbered between 60 and 70 in total.

Dahua county has made great efforts to develop its Qibainong chicken industry in recent years for poverty alleviation reasons, and has achieved remarkable outcomes in both chicken output and local people's incomes.

The number of Qibainong chickens raised in Dahua county in 2020 was 2.8 million.

The raising of Qibainong chickens has benefited 31,048 impoverished people from 7,762 households, and has increased the average annual income of poor households by over 1,000 yuan ($154).

Qibainong chicken products have been widely sold to markets in areas such as Nanning, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong.
