Anti-drug abuse campaign launched in Hechi

To mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26, Hechi Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region launched a one-month anti-drug campaign.
Nearly 10,000 local residents signed their names on a banner preaching anti-drug slogans during the opening of the campaign to express their support and wishes for a drug-free society.

Workers from the local anti-drug bureau, public security bureau as well as local officials attended the ceremony.
He Xinxing, local municipal party secretary, delivered a speech appealing for stricter regulations and control of drug abuse and trafficking, and called on everyone to shoulder the responsibility for fighting against illegal narcotics.
"The Hechi government always attaches great importance to drug abuse crackdowns and education, and has made big steps forward," He said.

In 2017, Hechi's anti-drug bureau has seized 187 kilograms of narcotics, 87 tons of drug-making materials, and arrested 44 people engaged in drug trafficking.
A series of anti-drug activities, such as a vowing ceremony, and a photo exhibition were held, while brochures on anti-narcotics information were also handed out to the local residents.
