Guangxi Tian'e Hongshui River festival to start

The 2016 Guangxi Tian'e Hongshui River Cultural Tourism Festival is to be held at Tian'e county in Hechi, Guangxi, from Feb 1 to 19.

The festival is organized by the Tian'e county Party committee and county government to celebrate the cultural heritage of Tian'e and explore the tourism resources of the Hongshui River.

Over the three years that the festival has been held, it has helped to greatly enhance the popularity and reputation of Tian'e.

The festival will include activities such as a folk song competition, a photographic exhibition, a tourist products show and a folk custom show of the Maguai Festival of the Zhuang ethnic group.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
