Bama publicizes traffic safety

The traffic police brigade of Bama county’s public security bureau in Hechi took measures to publicize traffic safety for the on hand Double Third Day.

For several consecutive days, Bama county government has organized police to hold publicity activities in schools, companies and markets, in order to raise people’s safety awareness, guarantee smooth traffic and avoid traffic accidents during the festival.

The Double Third Day is on the third day of the third month of the Chinese lunar calender. It is not only a traditional festival of the Zhuang ethnic group, but also an important festival of the Han, Yao and Miao people in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Approved by the Guangxi People’s Government, all residents in the region have a two day holiday during the Double Third Day period.

As the second year of the policy, this year’s holiday falls on April 20 and 21. Together with the preceding weekend of April 18 and 19, local residents in Guangxi will have a four day holiday in total. A large number of people made plans to travel around during the holiday.
