Additional electric bus chargers installed in Zhanjiang
Updated: 2017-03-15
Zhanjiang recently installed 20 additional electric bus chargers at the new Haitian Bus Station in Chikan district, bringing the total amount of bus chargers in the city to 84.
The installed chargers at the station feature two types. The first type is used for the 8.5-meter-long buses with higher charging rates. Buses charged between 10 and 20 minutes can conduct a round trip. The second type is used for the 6.5-meter-long buses, which charge at a slower speed at 45 KW with 30 A current. According to staff, the charging piles were installed at the station in response to the government's call for reducing auto pollution. They also serve the station's ambition of becoming a transportation hub.
Zhanjiang currently has 612 new energy buses since their first introduction in the city in 2014.
