Tiaoshun net dragon dance originates from Tiaoshun Island in Zhanjiang. The dance, with a history of more than 600 years, dates back to the beginning of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was listed among the intangible cultural heritage of Guangdong province in 2012.

The head of the net dragon is made of ox horn, which symbolizes prosperous agriculture, while the dragon boby is made of silk net to symbolize thriving fishery. The net dragon features the combination of agriculture and fishing in local villages.
