Smooth traffic ensured for CMEE 2016

Updated: 2016-11-24

Four additional airlines providing more daily and weekly flights, along with an increased number of shuttle buses have been deployed in anticipation of the China Marine Economy Expo 2016 (CMEE 2016) held in Guangdong's Zhanjiang from Nov 24 to 27.

The only national level marine economic and trade exhibition, CMEE is held at Zhanjiang Olympic Sports Center and is expected to welcome 100,000 daily visitors. More shuttles and buses have been enlisted to accommodate the demand.

Private cars will have no problems looking for parking space since the parking lot on the periphery of the main venue is capable of holding 2,500 cars, while the road sides can hold an additional 2,500 vehicles.

Key roads and the Zhanjiang Bay Bridge, crossing Zhanjiang's harbor, are under strict control and surveillance, involving more police and security forces.

Four more destinations -- Nanchang, Nanning, Zhuhai, and Dalian (via Wuhan) – have been recently included to Zhanjiang Airport's service routes. More frequent flights have also been planned for the annual event. For example, planes departing from Zhanjiang to Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan province, have now been rescheduled from three times a week to four times a week.
