Zhanjiang to release real-time air quality data

The public has been able to inquire online about real-time air quality information in Zhanjiang since New Year’s Day.
The official website of the Ministry of Environmental Protection began releasing all real-time monitoring data at the monitoring points in Zhanjiang city on January 1, 2015.
The data can also be found on the official website of the China National Environmental Monitoring Center.
The air quality monitoring is conducted under the new air quality standards. The real-time data to be released will include six indexes: particulate matter from 70 to 20 micrograms (PM10), particulate matter smaller than 2.5 micrometers (PM2.5), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), ozone (O3) and carbon monoxide (CO).
Zhanjiang is a renowned livable city with fresh air. It has topped the air quality ranking of Guangdong province for three quarters consecutively in 2014, according to data released by Guangdong's Environment Protection Bureau.
