The NYG will be the largest sports meeting ever in Fujian, with more than 7,300 young athletes from 80 cities competing from Oct 18 to 27.
Over 300 sports events will be held in cities and counties across the province, and Pingtan, an island county in eastern Fujian, will host all the softball games.
Authorities have placed Games elements in every corner. More than 3,000 banners and posters have been hung up in streets, scenic resorts and supermarkets. The NYG-themed advertisements are rolling on giant LED screens at major crossroads.
Pingtan has built a state-of-the-art softball stadium for the Games. With a total investment of 70 million yuan ($11 million), the stadium covers an area of nearly 9,000 square meters and can house 5,000 spectators.

There will be 3,000 free seats for local residents, who only need to bring their IDs to watch the games from the stands.
In order to promote tourism, authorities also announced that people related to NYG, such as judges, working staff, athletes, journalists and volunteers are exempt from ticket prices at all scenic spots in Pingtan during the Games.
