Pingnan volunteers protect the environment

A total of 35 visitors studying at Lingxia Middle School went to Meixi village on May 3. They cleared drift wood on the river and strived to enhance the locals’ awareness of environmental protection there.

Meixi Lake is the origin of Pingnan’s drinking water. The surrounding environment and the quality of the water there are closely related to the heath of Pingnan residents.

In the afternoon, the volunteers went to Luocuo village to do some more work. They visited eight impoverished elderly people, offering them gifts and helping them with housework.
