Abstract:
The paper reviews the general law concerning city planning and development and the experiences of CBD development in foreign countries, and the actual situation and problems in Beijing in this regard. On that basis, it proposes that the CBD in Beijing should have a clear-cut positioning, a mode of construction compatible to China's real circumstances should be selected and full play should be given to the role of government.
