During the past 30 years of stabilizing and improving the basic management system in villages, the ownership, usage, profits and proprietorship of farmlands have been constantly leaning in favor of the villagers'contracts for management rights, rather than the previously-preferred collective ownership, which not only safeguardes the contractors'benefits, but also promotes agricultural development and maintains village stability.
