Liu Shijin, vice-minister of the Development Research Center of the State Council's (DRC), led a delegation on a visit to Cuba, Nov 15- 18, at the invitation of the Cuban Foreign Affairs Ministry, for a discussion of China's reforms and opening up and Cuba's economic upgrade.
Marino Murillo, a member of the Cuban Central Committee's Politburo and vice-president of the Council of Ministers, met with the delegation, along with vice-minister of Foreign Affairs.
The delegation also paid a visit to the International Political Research Center and the National Economic Research Institute, in the company of China's ambassador to Cuba, Liu Yuqin.
Members of the delegation were Ren Xingzhou, director–general of the Institute of Market Economy, Wu Zhenyu, director of the general office of the DRC, Zhang Hongfei, of the International Cooperation Dep't of the DRC, and DRC research fellows Wang Qing and Qi Yunlan.
