Xi'an Daming Palace National Heritage Park wins Best Contribution Award

Xi'an – The International Union of Architects for the Asia and Oceania region held its 2010 Intl Symposium on Sept 16 in Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology.

Xi'an Daming Palace National Heritage Park was presented with the title of the Best Contribution Award of architectural heritage protection.

Themed as "Asian Experience: Preservation of Architectural Heritage in Rapid Urbanization", the symposium is aimed to demonstrate the wisdom of architectural heritage, sum up the experience of architectural heritage protection, and build up a platform for communication.

Experts from several Asian countries introduced their experience. Wang Xijing made an introduction on how to protect the Daming Palace heritage in the process of urbanization, which has won favorable comments of more than 60 experts from home and abroad.
