2010-08-02

After performed at the UN civil servants meeting in Barcelona, the Tang fashion show "Sun and Moon in Daming Palace" was performed in Washington's Kennedy Center on July 30.

"Sun and Moon in Daming Palace" is the third Chinese performance ever performed in Washington's Kennedy Center. The other two performances were the dance “Bodhisattva with a Thousand Hands (Qianshou Guanyin)” and the ballet "Raise the Red Lantern".

The fashion show presents an aspect of Tang culture. Audiences can feel Tang's elegance and majesty through Daming palace, Tang's beauty and glamour in the fashion show. The three hundred clothes and headdresses are designed by Han Chunqi, head clothes designer of Beijing Olympic Games' opening ceremony. The performance team and the designing team are all famous and industrious.

The show "Sun and Moon in Daming Palace" is a unique blending of classical and modern. It enables audiences to know more about Tang culture and Xi'an Daming Palace National Heritage Park.
