Film made to capture the grandeur of Da Ming Palace

The epic film "Da Ming Palace" is the second directorial effort by Jin Tie Mu about a great historical building. The film traces the inception of the palace, its peak years and also its destruction over the course of three hundred years.

It also tells the fate of historical figures such as the female emperor of the Tang dynasty, Wu Ze Tian as well as emperor Tang Ming Huang and his concubine, Yang Guifei. With the help of scores of special techniques, the film tries to recreate the massive palace. The film also tries to depict some main halls of the palace, that until now had only been seen in history books.
