ZTE Appealed against InterDigital for Patent Infringement

On October 28th, the US District Court for the District of Delaware heard the patent case on US Patent No. 7190966、7286847、8380244、7941151 between ZTE (a Chinese phone maker) and InterDigital (a wireless technology company in the U.S.). The court ruled that ZTE infringed the US Patent No. 7190966、7286847、8380244 belonging to InterDigital, and determined that further clarity of the language in the US Patent No. 7941151 was required. This verdict from the Court contradicted with the final verdict released by the U.S. International Trade Commission in August 2014, determining that ZTE did not infringe the US Patent No. 7190966、7286847 of InterDigital. Unsatisfied with the Court's verdict, ZTE is intending to appeal in terms of the US Patent No. 7190966、7286847, and tried to invalidate the US Patent No. 8380244. The US Patent and Trademark Office's Patent Trial and Appeal Board is currently reviewing the validity of the third patent.
