The 4th China IP Annual Forum & 2014 Annual Conference of In-house IP Managers in China Concluded in Beijing

The 4th China IP Annual Forum & 2014 Annual Conference of In-house IP Managers in China was co-launched by China Daily and China IP Magazine in Beijing Minzu Hotel on January 10th to 11th 2014, and it was really a completed success themed with “New Reform, New Challenge, New Opportunity.”

Comparing with last year’s forum, the Forum of this year lasted for two days, with a training on the second day. The 4th China IP Annual Forum has attracted the attention of delegates from enterprises, experts, scholars, lawyers, with approximately 300 participants in the Forum.

The Forum has invited distinguished guests and speakers, including Liu Chuntian, Director of the Intellectual Property Academy of Renmin University of China and Chairman of the China Intellectual Property Law Society; Qu Sanqiang, Director of the Law School of Beijing Institute of Technology and Director of The Institute for Intellectual Property Protection at Z-Park; Zhang Xiaojin, Presiding Judge of IP Division, Beijing Second Intermediate People’s Court; Wang Xiaoyan, Director & Chief Representative, China of BSA| The Software Alliance, and many other leaders and experts. During the two panels, the speakers discussed on the topics of “IP Talent Training & IP Manager Career Development” and “How to Achieve Positive Results in Litigation” with frequent interaction and active atmosphere.

In the part of awarding & gala dinner, the Recommendation of Global IP Firms of China-Related Business 2013 war was released initially and officially. Then China IP Magazine has also announced the results of Outstanding IP Litigation Teams in China 2013, China IP Most Influential People 2013, China IP Lifetime Achievement Award and Outstanding In-house IP Managers in China 2013.

It is worth its name to give Zheng Shengli the award of China IP Lifetime Achievement Award, as he has dedicated his life to the development of IP for more than 30 years. The award of China IP Most Influential People 2013 was given Guo Shugui, Qu Sangqiang, Tao Xinliang, and Wang Xiaoyan.Unitalen, Wan Hui Da, Kang Xin, Lu Sheng, King & Wood and Co-effort win the award of Outstanding IP Litigation Teams in China 2013. The most exciting part was the release of the Outstanding In-house IP Managers in China 2013 with fifteen managers getting the honor.

On the second day, Shi Bisheng, Judge of IP Division, Beijing Higher People’s Court, Li Shunde, Director of Law and IP Department, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and professional lawyers gave the training on IP Litigation & Defense Strategy.
