The number of copyright registrations for software in China keeps increasing after 3 years' successive growth. It is learnt from Copyright Protection Center of China (CPCC), as of June 30, there are 35,062 copyright registrations for computer software in total for the first half year in 2010, 24.02% increased compared with the same period last year; and the number of copyright registrations for the games software grows fastest, with an increase rate of 73.5%.
According to the statistics of CPCC, the number of software registrations in Shanghai, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Shandong, Jiangsu, Hubei, Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong grows relatively fast, and the growth rates are all over 55%; Beijing still tops the country with 10,308 pieces of registrations, but 200 less than the same period last year. The statistics show that, copyright registrations for game software are 1,216, which have become the one with fastest increase rate.
