Global talents brought their innovation and entrepreneurship projects to Beijing on Sept 19 to compete in the finals of the Third Geek Challenge – Demo the World.
The competition organized by Zhongguancun Innoway has divisions in eight countries – Italy, New Zealand, England, Singapore, Canada, Denmark, France and South Korea from which to draw startups.
It also cooperated with three industry giants, including Foreign Enterprises Service Corporation (Fesco), Haier Resource Sharing Cloud, and Microsoft Accelerator.

Eleven outstanding projects entered the final round, revealing a cut-throat competition between big businesses and new startups after two months' selection.
UK's Brainomix won gold with its stroke treatment solutions, with Fesco's ekuaibao and DXTR Labs followed.
Brainomix has a team of medical researchers, among which many have graduated from Oxford University. Its products will be mainly used in the treatment of strokes through patient monitoring, treatment prediction and follow-ups via artificial intelligent technologies. The company is expected to enter the Chinese market next year.

With its theme of "wisdom gathering for ecologic development, industrial upgrading for innovation & entrepreneurship", the competition aims to build a cooperative bridge between big companies and global innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
Yao Hongbo, president of Zhongguancun Innoway Operation, said the street has formed an industrial chain and platform for excellent global startups and projects. The company hopes to attract more international talents and innovative projects to settle in Zhongguancun Science Park.
