The Global Innovation Forum 2017, a highlight of this year's Zhongguncun Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival, got underway at Zhongguancun Science Park in Beijing on Sept 15.
Themed as "Open for the Future", the forum focused on openness and innovation, cooperation, and future technologies through topic speeches and roundtable discussions.

World business leaders were invited to attend the forum, including Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi Tech, Xu Heyi, president of BAIC Group, Zhang Bo, co-founder of DiDi Chuxing, Rasmus W.Tscherning, founder and CEO of Venture Cup Denmark and Brett Holland, project head of New Zealand's Creative HQ.
Lei Jun, said that Xiaomi will count on the innovation of core technologies and business modes to develop a platform economy and incubate a group of intelligent hardware projects with the hope of driving the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry.

Zhang Bo described a beautiful future of intelligent traffic to attendees at the forum. He said that DiDi is working hard on intelligent traffic products including DiDi Brain, traffic light improvement and reversible lanes to solve modern traffic problems.
Wang Weiming, deputy director of Haidian district of Beijing, said that Beijing is striving to become the center of the country's technology innovation.
The forum aims to build a platform for Zhongguancun Science Park and global businesspeople as well as experts to discuss the future of technology.
