Logo and Mascot of China Pavilion
Logo and Mascot of China Pavilion
Inspired by the Solar Divine Bird totems, which were unearthed from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties of ancient China, the logo of the China Pavilion consists of bird wings and sun flares arranged in a clockwise order. Closely linked with the theme of the pavilion, the design highlights the cultural, technological and green ideas. As a symbol of the Chinese nation’s persistent pursuit for brightness and progress, it may also remind visitors of the new ideas and achievements China has put forth in terms of transition of the traditional energy sector, development of new energy, green and eco-friendly operation, sustainable development, etc.
The logo comes in a color scheme of green, orange and blue. Green stands for eco-friendliness and health, orange for sun and energy, and blue for technology and clean energy. As a blend of modern and traditional Chinese elements, the design carries profound meanings and goes well in color, conducive to widespread promotion and extension.
The mascot of China Pavilion is modeled after the image of Solar Divine Bird. A Solar Divine Bird and a phoenix, both flying with wings open wide, look very cute and lively. The blend of traditional Chinese elements like the two birds and auspicious clouds is easy to leave visitors a forceful impression. Closely linked with the theme of the pavilion, the impressive mascot features a clearly-cut design and distinctive meaning. It can be seen as an echo of the logo in both styling and connotation. Like the logo, the mascot also applies the color scheme of green, orange and blue in order to ensure unity in color and harmony in visual effect, and underpin the development ideas of innovation, coordination, greenness, inclusiveness and sharing.
