The rise of entrepreneurship and innovation bases in Jilin
An artificial intelligence-oriented entrepreneurship and innovation base was launched recently in Changchun, Jilin province, as AI gains more and more attention in China.
Changchun Chaoyang iFLYTEK AI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Base was established by both the local government and iFLYTEK Corporation, and is the first professional base to specialize in AI research in China.
The base is intended to become a core platform for AI entrepreneurship and innovation in Northeast Asia and help entrepreneurs start their business and grow into mature enterprises in a shorter time.

An experience zone was set within the base, in which people can experience many kinds of intelligent devices including intelligent interpreters, an intelligent grading system, and intelligent driving.
Xicheng Technology Company is a company focusing on artificial control equipment set up by college students.
"After settling in the base, we have upgraded the original robot technology and developed a new kind of usher robot with technological support from the base," said Liu Zhuang, head of the company. "Two-hundred food delivering robots were sold in 2016, which brought us five million yuan ($725,330) in income."

Another entrepreneurship and innovation base supported by governments in Changchun, Zhonggai Base, is also on the rise.
To date, 598 incubators have settled in the base and have created employment and revenue for Changchun.
The development of such bases also helps promote the transformation and upgrading of the old industrial bases in NE China.
