Zhouzhuang 'the most beautiful place in Jiangsu'

The results of the vote for "the most beautiful place in Jiangsu province" were recently announced and Zhouzhuang was successfully elected to be the "five-star most beautiful place in Jiangsu". The vote was organized by the Chinese National Geography magazine, Xinhua Daily Press Group, Tourism Association of Jiangsu province, and Jiangsu Photographers Society.

The vote started last April and gained attention from all sectors of society, attracting more tourists to learn about Jiangsu.

There were greater than 400 candidate scenic spots in the vote, and 18 of them were located in Suzhou. The candidate scenic spots were elected for a three-star, four-star and five-star standard. Only three scenic spots received the honor of a five-star standard and Zhouzhuang was one of them. The voting results show the rapid development of Zhouzhuang's tourism and are a testament to its popularity.
