Justine’s, a high-end French restaurant known for good service and food, is holding a Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur festival. The event is sponsored jointly by Jianguo Hotel Beijing and the travel bureau & government of Mougins in France.
The food festival marks the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and aims to promote French gastronomic culture. Until Oct 31, guest chefs Serge Gouloumes and Christophe Boutes have come to the restaurant from Mougins, a city known for its gastronomy and art.
Chef Gouloumes is a recipient of Michelin awards, while chef Christophe Boutes is an honored master baker. They hope to present the traditional and modern culinary techniques of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur to people in Beijing.
Born in the southwest of France, Serge Gouloumes has been chef for 30 years. He has traveled all over the world, including Switzerland, the Caribbean and Beverly Hills, California.
In 2001, he became head chef of the five star hotel Le Mas Candille. In 2005 he was awarded a Michelin star. Finally he got his own resort hotel in Massignac, Domaine des Etangs.
This hotel is one of the best in France. Pastry chef Christophe Boutes established La Mouginoise des Pains bakery in 2008.
He became Strategic partner of "Stars of Mougins" in 2009. Together the chefs will bring beautiful and delicious French cuisine to diners in Beijing. Highlights are duck breast with foie gras, monkey fish and traditional French desserts.
