Today is the Winter Solstice of 2015. Having jiaozi (dumplings) is a tradition on this day for the people of Northern China, and in other parts of China people have their own style of food for the Winter Solstice.
Big dumplings
The classic dumplings in Northeastern China are sour pickle and pork dumplings. In fact, dumplings are recommended on every festival in this area. Some restaurants provide dumplings with more than 10 kinds of filling.
