More than 20 young Chinese jewelry designers will display their artworks at an exhibition in Cheng Center for Contemporary Art inside Beijing's 798 Art Zone from Oct 1 to 7. They are graduates of UK's leading art and design schools, including Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion and Edinburgh College of Art.

Dan Taylor, a classical guitarist from the United Kingdom, and German cellist Heike Kagler will perform at the opening ceremony on Sept 29.

Titled Fact of Design, the exhibition showcases more than 200 pieces of jewelry designed by these emerging Chinese designers. It is divided into four parts: conceptual jewelry, contemporary jewelry, new material experiment and classic aesthetics.

One of the artists, Guan Beichen, who graduated from Central Saint Martins, was inspired by a book, titled The Birth of Prison. Her works, under the name of Surveillance, explore females of different eras.

Li Jiayin, a graduate from Central Saint Martins, will exhibit her series of works, named Redefine-Remake, inspired by traditional oil paintings.
