Titanic is not the only ship that sails into Chinese theaters in April.
Peter Berg, director of Hancock and The Kingdom, directs and produces Battleship, an action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force.
Shot primarily in Honolulu, Hawaii, the film received great support from the US navy throughout production. The navy not only allowed the crew to visit several destroyers, but also the sailors as they trained.
Taylor Kitsch leads the cast as lieutenant Alex Hopper, a naval officer. Alexander Skarsgard, star of HBO's award-winning series True Blood, plays Commander Stone, his older brother. Grammy Award winning singer Rihanna makes her big screen debut by playing one of Hopper's tough shipmates.
The film will premiere on April 18, about a month before it hits theaters in the United States.
