Aniston just wants to make Friends with PittJennifer Aniston hopes that she can be friends again one day with her heart-throb ex-husband Brad Pitt, whom she says she will love forever, the Hollywood actress told a British Sunday newspaper.

The former star of the hit television comedy "Friends" said she harboured no bitterness about her high-profile break-up with Pitt, who ran off with sex siren actress Angelina Jolie.

"I don't regret any of that time and I'm not here to beat myself up about it," she told the News of the World weekly, Britain's biggest-selling newspaper.

"They were seven very intense years together and it was a beautiful, complicated relationship. I will love Brad for the rest of my life and I hope that some day we will be able to be friends again."

The couple were together for seven years and married for five. They divorced in 2005 after he reportedly fell in love with co-star Jolie on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". The split hit Aniston hard.

Jolie gave birth to her and Pitt's first child together last month amid a blaze of publicity.

"At the moment, I'm doing really well," said Aniston, 37.

"There were times when I had a little 'pity-party' for myself? Sure there were. Absolutely -- who wouldn't?"

She is now reported to be in love with Vince Vaughan, her co-star in "The Break-Up", released earlier this month.

"To date, he hasn't serenaded me under my balcony," Aniston said.

"I've gone for each type of man. The rough guy, the nerdy, sweet, lovable type, the slick guy. Man in general are a good thing, I think.

"In a man, I look for a friend, someone who is an equal and with whom I'm comfortable.

"I want to be loved, happy and not settle for something less than we all deserve."
