Third Session of the 11th CPPCC Changsha Committee opens on Jan 19

The Third Session of the 11th CPPCC Changsha Municipal Committee began on Monday, Jan 19 in Changsha People's Hall.

Changsha Party Chief Yi Lianhong extended warm congratulations on the convening of the meeting on behalf of the Changsha municipal CPC committee.

Fan Xiaoxin, chairman of the CPPCC Changsha Municipal Committee, gave a work report commissioned by the Standing Committee of the 11th CPPCC Changsha Committee.

He said that the CPPCC sector and its members in Changsha have actively participated in the social and economic undertakings, solving 215 practical problems for local enterprises and projects, launching 107 activities of investment promotion and introducing skilled personnel, and pushing for the addressing of 728 problems which concern local residents.

Altogether 576 proposals have been submitted since the opening of the Second Session of the 11th CPPCC Changsha Municipal Committee, and 522 of them have been put on record and settled.

The city's democratic parties, federation of industry and commerce, and non-party representatives also presented their opinions on economics, social development and people's livelihoods.
