The Wangxianqiao community, in Xingsha Street, Changsha county, was recently honored as a municipal energy conservation and environmental protection community.

Residents are offered small gifts, such as energy-saving lamps, toothpaste, soap and tea from the community as incentives for them to undertake refuse classification in their daily lives.

Meanwhile, about 1,500 families in the neighborhood have installed solar water heaters. The community has also installed around 50 solar street lights which provide more convenience for the locals, said Fan Xianshun, the principal of the community.
