The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration of Taxation recently announced a new motorcycle type list of the new energy vehicles that are exempted from the purchase tax. Eight vehicle types made by automobile enterprises in Changsha made the list.

Altogether 146 green vehicle types were elected onto the list, including 12 electric commuter car types such as the JAC IEV5, and 5 hybrid electric passenger vehicles such as the BMW Brilliance Automotive's 530Le and a BYD SUV type.

The Changsha-made vehicles on the list include the zotye cloud 100 pure-electric car, BYD M3 plug-in hybrid electric car, and six pure-electric municipal vehicle types made by the Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology.
